M1  — America at the Turn of the Century. 1890-1917

Ce séminaire couvre une période très riche de l’histoire américaine, non seulement celle du « progressisme » mais aussi celle qui voit les États-Unis se projeter au-delà de leurs frontières continentales. Cela permettra donc d’aborder toutes les facettes de l’histoire, de l’histoire sociale à l’histoire culturelle, pour tenter de saisir le sens d’une époque caractérisée par ses changements, rapides et souvent brutaux, mais qui, dans une large mesure, vont conditionner toute le premier XXème siècle.
